Dr Tina Aughney
Tina has worked as a Bat Specialist since 2000 and has undertaken extensive survey work for all Irish bat species.

- Holder of Doctorate of Philosophy in Environmental Science
- Holder of Bachelor of Science 2.1 honours degree in Environmental Science

- Co-ordinator of large scale monitoring projects e.g. The All-Ireland Daubentons Bat Waterways Survey
- Member of The Heritage Council Bat Panel
- NPWS Licence to handle, capture, trap and photograph all Irish bat species
- Identification of all Irish bat species using Heterodyne, Frequency Division and Time Expansion bat detector systems.
- Sonogram Analysis of bat echolocation calls and social calls using Bat Sound 3.0 and Analook.
- Licenced and trained to mist net, hand net and harp-trap bats.
